TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires the use of hand and motorized tools and equipment such as rake, broom, riding and push mower, weed trimmer, blower, billygoat vacuum, and floor stripper/buffer to perform various assigned job functions. Requires the ability to perform heavy manual work which will involve bending, kneeling, reaching, pulling, pushing, crouching, and standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Must be able to traverse on various surfaces. Must be able to operate various equipment and automobiles, including pick-up trucks, mini-vans and riding mowers to perform assigned duties at various locations throughout the City.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work may be performed in both indoors and/or outdoors environment based upon work assignment. Work may be performed in adverse weather conditions. May be exposed to odors, noise, dust, pollen, fumes and chemicals such as pesticides.
Ability to understand written and verbal instructions. May be required to work nights and weekends. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license as a condition of continued employment in performing assigned task if employed in Fire Division's Logistical Services, Public Works' Ground Services, and Park Division's Botanical Gardens.
