Grounds Services Supervisor
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing. Requires the ability to operate general office equipment such as a personal computer and telephone. Requires the ability to operate an automobile.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is mostly performed in an office environment. Frequent travel to other site locations throughout the city by driving required. May be subject to noisy and inclement weather conditions. Requires the ability to traverse across uneven land to inspect work.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or similar field and four (4) years of grounds experience with one (1) of the four (4) years in a supervisory capacity; or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Must possess and maintain a valid commercial driver's license as a continued condition of employment.
The City Charter requires that
City Employees must establish residence within Shelby County within six (6)
months from date of Employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time
of hire.
