Assistant Community Center Director
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed primarily in a community center or senior center environment with some outdoor work required when programming or monitoring recreational activities and inspecting facility and equipment. Drives to various sites around the City to participate in recreational activities.
Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Therapeutics Recreation or a related field and one (1) year experience in developing and implementing programs such as youth, adult, after school, fitness, etc; or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an F endorsement or obtain within six (6) months of hire as a condition of continued employment.
The City Charter requires that City Employees must
establish residence within Shelby County within six (6) months from date of
Employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire.
