MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, HRIS, Public or Business Administration or related field and three (3) years professional experience related to maintaining or developing data files and/or business analytics with at least one (1) year to include the experience of IT support, advanced Excel functions and/or business intelligence systems or other spreadsheet/database analytics tools; or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Must have experience in the installation of PC hardware assembly and a working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software, and programming.

 

HIPAA REQUIREMENT:  All employees who have access to health information which requires confidentiality procreated by the HIPAA Privacy Rule are required by the Rule to receive training so that they have an understanding and knowledge of both the Privacy Rule that corresponds to their job responsibilities and of the health plan's policies and procedures that impact on their job duties. Training on the requirements of the HIPAA Privacy Rule and the plan's health information policies and procedures under the direction of the plan Privacy Officer must be completed within the initial six (6) months as a condition of continued employment.  Employees who violate the requirements of the HIPAA Privacy Rule will be subject to disciplining action up to and including termination.   

 


The City Charter requires that City Employees, with the exception of "first responders", must establish residence within Shelby County within six (6) months from their date of employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire. As defined by Tennessee Senate Bill No. 29, "first responder" means paid, full-time law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel.
