Delivery & Distribution Clerk (Appointed)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED certificate required. Must have valid Class D Tennessee driver's license with an F endorsement and at least two [2] years unrestricted driving experience and a good driving record. Must comply with Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) Alcohol and Drug testing rules. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds regularly and knowledge of safe lifting and loading practices required. Must have good oral and written communication skills and work as part of a team.
The City Charter requires that City Employees, with the exception of "first responders", must establish residence within Shelby County within six (6) months from their date of employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire. As defined by Tennessee Senate Bill No. 29, "first responder" means paid, full-time law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel.
