TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing. Use of office equipment such as a computer, calculator, fax machine, telephone, and copier required. Involves contact with Fire personnel, labor representatives, and staff members at all levels.
 
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:  Work is performed in an office environment.
 
 High School graduate or equivalent and four (4) years payroll/accounting experience; or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions.  Two (2) years of college course work preferred. Working knowledge of various computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and Oracle, preferred.

The City Charter requires that City Employees must establish residence within Shelby County within six (6) months from date of Employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire.
