Fleet Services Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field and seven (7) years administrative experience in automotive fleet, wrecker, or impound/storage services preferably within the public sector with (5) five of the seven (7) years in a supervisory capacity; or high school graduate with eleven (11) years’ experience in automotive/fleet operations; or any combination of education and experience which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License as a condition of continued employment. Knowledge of Microsoft Applications such as Word and Excel preferred. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance software systems preferred. If assigned to heavy equipment shop will be required to possess and maintain a valid Class “A” Tennessee (or equivalent out-of-state) Commercial Driver’s License and comply with Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) Alcohol and Drug Testing Rules as a condition of continued employment.
The City Charter requires that City Employees must establish residence within Shelby County within six (6) months from date of Employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire.
