Helicopter Mechanic - Lead
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent. Must possess a current valid Airframe and Power plant license issued in accordance with 14 CFR Parts 43 and 65 with five (5) years' experience maintaining Bell 206B and Eurocopter AS350 helicopters; with two (2) of the five (5) years overhauling components on the Bell 206B; or any combination of experience or training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Must possess or obtain an Inspection Authorization (IA) endorsement within six (6)months of hire and maintain as a condition of continued employment. Must furnish own aircraft hand tools.
The City Charter requires that City Employees, with the exception of "first responders", must establish residence within Shelby County within six (6) months from their date of employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire. As defined by Tennessee Senate Bill No. 29, "first responder" means paid, full-time law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel.
