OTHER FUNCTIONS:
1. Conducts both community initiatives and neighborhood-based projects for program participants and parents, as needed.
2. Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned.

TYPLICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Requires the use of office equipment, including personal computers, fax machines, and telephones. Work involves occasional independent travel to various City sites.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed primarily in an office/training site environment. Occasionally travels to outlying satellite facilities, working evenings and weekends, attend conferences, youth forums, and training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, education, communications, or a related field and three (3) years of professional experience performing human services, or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Specific experience within job training and knowledge of youth development and training strongly preferred. Working experience utilizing standard office software including spreadsheets required.

The City Charter requires that City Employees must establish residence within Shelby County within six (6) months from date of Employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire.
