Payroll Specialist
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires the use of equipment such as a computer, typewriters, fax machine, telephone, calculator, printer, copier and envelop preparer.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an office environment.
High School graduate or equivalent and four (4) years of payroll/accounting experience; or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Two (2) years of college course work preferred.
The City Charter requires that City Employees must establish residence within Shelby County within six (6) months from date of Employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire.
