Recreation Program Manager
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an office environment or community center, except during some outdoor work required to evaluate and monitor recreational activities. Travels to various recreational facilities throughout the City will be required to provide oversight to staff and programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Health, Physical Education, Arts, Business Administration or related field and five (5) years of community center, cultural center, and/or recreation program administration with three (3) of the five (5) in a managerial/supervisory capacity, or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Must possess and maintain a valid driver license as a condition of continued employment.
The City Charter requires that City
Employees must establish residence within Shelby County within six (6) months
from date of Employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of
hire.
