TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing with the general public, City personnel and Shelby County School administrators.  Requires the ability to operate general office equipment such as a computer, calculator, adding and business machine, telephone and photocopier.
 
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an office environment.
 
Associate's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field and three (3) years of professional administrative experience related to timekeeping and payroll/employment processes and/or resolving customer service issues; or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions.  Experience in computer software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and E-mail preferred.

The City Charter requires that City Employees must establish residence within Shelby County within six (6) months from date of Employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire.
