Senior Design Engineer (Civil Design) - Registry
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and seven (7) years of progressively more responsible experience which was primarily involved in general civil engineering with at least four (4) of those years in a supervisory capacity; or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Preferred experience may include, but not be limited to the following areas; Roadway Design, Drainage Design, Structural Design and Analysis, Traffic Engineering, Sewer System Design, and Land Development. Work experience may vary based on assigned service center needs. License to practice engineering in the State of Tennessee, or demonstrated ability to obtain within six (6) months required and maintain as a condition of continued employment. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license as a condition of continued employment.
The City Charter requires that City Employees must establish residence within Shelby County within six (6) months from the date of employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire.
