TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.  Requires the ability to use general office equipment such as a computer and telephone.  Requires the ability to traverse uneven ground to visually inspect property.
 
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:  Work is performed in an office environment and in the field inspecting properties including travel to all areas of the city.  May be exposed to all types of weather conditions.
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Planning, Real Estate or related field and three (3) years of professional experience in real estate documentation, appraisal, and/or sales, or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license as a condition of continued employment. Working experience in reading and interpreting surveys, blueprint construction plans, engineering plans and plats and legal property descriptions preferred. TN Real Estate Broker License, Certified Commercial Investment Member or Right of Way Professional designation is preferred. Working experience in utilizing MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, CRS Data, and ESRI ARC Map is preferred.

 

The City Charter requires that City Employees must establish residence within Shelby County withing six (6) months from the date of employment.  Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire.
