Service Advisor (2 openings)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : High School graduate and (8) eight years' experience as a mechanic/technician and/or service provider. Must possess and maintain a valid Class "B" Tennessee (or equivalent out-of-state) Commercial Driver's License or obtain within six (6) months of employment and as a condition of continued employment. Must comply with Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) Alcohol and Drug Testing Rules. Must possess and maintain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) C1 Service Consultant Certification or obtained within twelve (12) months of employment as a condition of continued employment. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications in Light Automotive, or Medium-Heavy Truck strongly preferred. Working experience of techniques involved in the use of mechanic hand tools and understanding the basic principles of automotive maintenance/repairs preferred. Additional Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications preferred.
The City Charter requires that City Employees must establish residence within Shelby County within six (6) months from date of Employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire.
