TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires the ability to work with PCs, networks, and various communications equipment. Communicates effectively with internal and external personnel orally and in writing. Requires the ability to operate an automobile.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Involves contact with division management, City Staff, end users, technical support and executive management. Involves contact with various firms, outside vendors, and solutions providers. Requires independent travel to offices throughout the city.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field and seven (7) years of customer service end user experience with five (5) of seven (7) years in a supervisory capacity of professional experience in company management or word processing implementation; or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. 

The City Charter requires that City Employees must establish residence within Shelby County within six (6) months from date of Employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire.
