Solid Waste Part-Time Crewperson (Registry)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Works under the direct supervision of an assigned supervisor performing heavy manual and general labor work in the Solid Waste Management Service Center including residential and commercial refuse collection, recycling, and special collection services. May perform various duties such as collecting refuse, loading, unloading and moving materials manually, and assisting skilled trade personnel. Uses various hand and motorized tools, such as lawn mower, weed trimmer, shovel, rake, broom, and pitchfork.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires the use of hand and motorized tools and equipment to perform various assigned job functions. Requires the ability to perform heavy manual work which will involve bending, kneeling, reaching, pulling, pushing, crouching, and standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Must be able to traverse on various surfaces.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed outdoors in sometimes adverse weather conditions. May be exposed to odors, noise, dust, pollen, fumes and chemicals such as pesticides.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to understand written and verbal instructions. May be required to work nights and weekends.
