OTHER FUNCTIONS:
1. Serves in the absence of the MPLOY Program Manager.
2. Serves as a liaison to the community to promote and educate the public about the program, at various community-based events and public forums.
3. Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned.

TYPLICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Requires the use of office equipment, including personal computers, fax machines, and telephones. Work involves occasional independent travel to various City sites and some out-of-town locations.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed primarily in an office/training site environment. Occasionally travels to outlying satellite facilities, working evenings and weekends, attend conferences, youth forums, and training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, education, communications, or a related field and five (5) years of professional experience performing human services, or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Working experience within job training and knowledge of youth development and training strongly preferred. Working experience utilizing standard Microsoft office software.


The City Charter requires that City Employees, with the exception of "first responders", must establish residence within Shelby County within six (6) months from their date of employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire. As defined by Tennessee Senate Bill No. 29, "first responder" means paid, full-time law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel.
