Sweeper Operator
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires ability to operate assigned equipment. Requires ability to use maps to locate work sites
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Majority of work is performed outdoors. May be exposed to dust, changing weather conditions, and hot and cold temperatures; exposed to noise and traffic. Must be available to work nights and weekends when necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read and write and six (6) months experience driving municipal type street sweepers or similar/comparable vehicles. Must possess and maintain a valid Class "B" Tennessee (or equivalent out-of state) Commercial Driver's License and must comply with Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) Alcohol and Drug testing rules as a condition of continued employment. Must successfully complete job related skills testing as designated by Human Resources. Knowledge of geographic area of Memphis preferred.
