Truck Mechanic ( 6 openings - Fleet Management - Registry)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have two (2) years’ experience as a truck mechanic. Must possess and maintain a valid Class “B” Tennessee (or equivalent out-of-state) Commercial Driver’s License or obtain within twenty-four (24) months of employment and maintain as a condition of continued employment and must comply with Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) Alcohol and Drug Testing Rules. Must possess or obtain within six (6) months of employment the T-8 Preventing Maintenance Inspection (PMI) certification as a condition of continued employment. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications in Medium-Heavy Truck – T-2 Diesel Engines, T-4 Brakes, T-5 Suspension & Steering, T-6 Electrical / Electronic System is preferred. Work experience of techniques involved in the use of mechanic hand tools and the understanding of basic principles of Medium / Heavy Truck maintenance/repairs required.
