Weed Insp
Requires the use of equipment, such as CRT, personal computer, telephone and microfiche reader. Drives City vehicle to and from property locations. Walking and standing is required when making inspections. Involves contact with staff, contractors, property owners, and the general public.

Work is performed in an office environment and outdoors exposed to all types of weather conditions, odors, heat, weeds and grass.

High School graduate or equivalent; minimum of two (2) years work related experience, or any combination of experience or training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Must have a valid Tennessee Driver’s License.

The City Charter requires that City Employees, with the exception of "first responders", must establish residence within Shelby County within six (6) months from their date of employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire. As defined by Tennessee Senate Bill No. 29, "first responder" means paid, full-time law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel.
