Wtp Mechanical Foreman General
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires ability to inspect indoor plant sites. Requires ability to inspect outdoor work sites which involves walking in fields and wooded areas. Requires climbing and stooping. Must be able to communicate with staff, management, public, and health and environmental representatives. Requires ability to operate personal computer.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed outdoors and in treatment plant environment including exposure to inclement weather conditions, extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, odors, chemicals, and noise.
High school graduate and five (5) years experience in preventative maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment similar to that used in a large volume wastewater treatment plant such as: centrifugal and positive displacement pumps of all sizes and types, hydraulic systems, high volume blowers, compressor units, hoisting equipment, conveyors, clarifiers, belt filters presses, sludge spreading equipment, heavy equipment and agriculture equipment, grounds and building maintenance or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. One (1) year of the five (5) years experience in a supervisory capacity preferred. Knowledge of computers and CMS preferred.
