Master Mechanic
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have four (4) years' experience as a Master Mechanic or have equivalent experience/training through a nationally recognized organization or any combination of experience or training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Must possess or obtain within six (6) months of employment and maintain a valid Class "B" Tennessee Commercial Driver's License as a condition of continued employment. Must comply with Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) Alcohol and Drug Testing Rules. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Certifications in Automobile, Light Truck, or Medium-Heavy Truck strongly preferred.
The City Charter requires that City Employees must establish residence within Shelby County withing six (6) months from the date of employment. Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire.
