Stationary Engineer Foreman General
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires ability to inspect work sites which involves climbing ladders, stooping, and bending. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with staff, management, public, and health and environmental representatives.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed outdoors and in lift station/flood control station environment including exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, odors, chemicals, and noise. Requires the ability to operate an automobile to drive to lift station/flood control station sites throughout the City.
Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate and three (3) years experience in the maintenance/repair of machinery and equipment used in Sewage Lift Stations/Flood Control Stations, including centrifugal pumps of all sizes and types, hydraulic pump units, etc. ; or any combination of training and experience which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Must have a valid Tennessee driver's license. One (1) year of the three (3) years experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
